There are few things quite as sweet as a newborn. There are also few things quite as exhausting as caring for a newborn. Support during this time makes all the difference. Whether you are looking for daytime doula care or night doula support, this is your first baby or you are seasoned parents, it’s essential to be taken care of during this time, and we would love to help you have a positive postpartum experience.
A Postpartum Doula ...
Offers education, companionship and nonjudgmental support during the postpartum fourth trimester.
Assists with newborn care, family adjustment, meal preparation and light household tidying.
Offers evidence-based information on infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from birth, infant soothing and coping skills for new parents and makes appropriate referrals when helpful.

Education and realtime newborn support to promote confidence, ease stress for all family members, and increase rest.
Help with the emotional and physical recovery after birth
Light housekeeping
Assistance with newborn care such as diapering, bathing, feeding and comforting
Light meal preparation

Referrals to local resources such as parenting classes, pediatricians, lactation support and support groups
Running errands
$60-$65/hour, 4 hour per shift minimum*

Primary focus is SLEEP for most families! Some aspects of daytime care can be included in nighttime care such as:
companionship during feedings, or respite care where doula feeds baby and does other care while you sleep
answering newborn care questions
providing light meal prep such as breakfast and coffee before leaving in the morning
light housework such as infant laundry or bottle cleaning/prep
$60-$65/hour, 8 hour per shift minimum*

All of our doulas have had background checks and have been trained by DONA, CAPPA or ProDoula. Request a certified doula to meet requirements for insurance coverage and employer plans, if applicable.
